    One of the Louvre's main missions is to insure the study of its collections. All the research projects relate to the artworks and/or the museum's program.

    Research centers within the curatorial departments

    Each curatorial department at the Louvre manages its own documentation. Find out more about the resources available and about the access conditions to our different research centers, including the one at the Musée Eugène-Delacroix.

    The Dominique-Vivant Denon Research Center

    A new research facility available to museum professionals, researchers and anyone interested in the history of the Louvre and of museums.

    Practical information

    In line with the measures taken by the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Musée du Louvre and Musée National Eugène Delacroix are closed up until Tuesday December 1, 2020.
    All those who have purchased a ticket for this period will automatically receive a refund—no action is required.
